Frequently asked questions

The things people ask us on WhatsApp every week. If your question is not here, just ask us directly.

How do I book a Batam tour with InfoTravelBatam?
Message us on WhatsApp at +62 852 7251 6699 with your dates, how many people are coming and where you are travelling from. We reply with a plan and a price, adjust it until it suits you, then confirm. There is no booking form and no account to create.
Is the tour really private, or will we be joined by other groups?
It is genuinely private. Your bus carries your group only, and we never merge you with strangers to fill seats. Your own vehicle, driver and guide for the whole trip, whether there are two of you or forty.
Are you a licensed travel company?
Yes. We are a licensed company based in Batam under the name PT. INFO TRAVEL BATAM. All of our guides have gone through training and are licensed.
Can I book only the ferry tickets, or only a hotel?
Yes. Ferry tickets only, hotel only or private transport only. You are not required to buy a package. Tell us which part you need and we quote for that part alone.
What group sizes can you handle?
We run trips from 2 people up to company groups of 100 or more. Larger groups travel in several vehicles that move together, and your group is still the only group.
How do I pay, and when?
Bank transfer only. Once your trip is confirmed, our admin sends you the bank details on WhatsApp at +62 852 7251 6699. You pay a confirmation fee first so we can book your hotels and ferry tickets. The rest can be settled later when you are with us in Batam, or you can pay the full amount upfront if you prefer. If payment instructions reach you from any other number, check with us first.
Is a Batam trip suitable for elderly parents?
It suits elderly travellers well, mainly because the trip is private. We keep the pace slow, walking distances short, and plan proper toilet stops and rest breaks. Guides who speak Hokkien or Mandarin can talk to your parents directly.
Is halal food easy to find, and can you cater for dietary needs?
Yes. Halal food is widely available across Batam, including at most local restaurants. Tell us before the trip if your group needs halal, vegetarian, no pork or no beef, or has allergies, and we will choose restaurants that suit.
How do I reach you while I am in Batam?
The same WhatsApp number you booked on, +62 852 7251 6699, stays open for the whole trip, and your guide is with you during the day. If plans change while you are there, message us.
